We hope that they will be able to find the time to attend, but understand if they have other pressing events that they wish to take care of first. It will be a small event with close friends and family. Please pass on this message to them as they have left no forwarding address. She found herself here after having gone for another walk with Lewis, unremarkable since she hadn’t stumbled into any other new people. For now, she reflected on her days by writing in her journal and composing a message to her husband via her PADD. Lewis was curled up beside her on the bed, his head propped up on one of her legs as his paws twitched as he seemed to be chasing some sort of toy or dream animal. She reached over to let his fur before simply taking stock on just how many people she had somewhat befriended while being stationed here, proud of herself for carving out a place where she truly loved to be.

Dear Lt. Cdr. Hanna Stone, Starfleet Intelligence requests your presence on a classified mission. You are to be allocated to @deleted-role as its team leader. A full briefing as to the nature of the mission will take place once the ship has departed. Eventide is to depart on stardate 89728.71 – the 23rd of September 2412 at 1700 hours. Please be aboard the vessel for this time. It is predicted that this mission shall last approximately three days including the time taken for travel. A full communications blackout will be in place during this time: there will be no communication with Starbase 777 or any other outside sources. Please do not inform anyone else as to the details of this journey. We hope you understand, and we thank you for your compliance. Yours, Starfleet Intelligence.

She was settled by a seating area, adding the last touches to the display of sandwiches and treats before reaching down to give Lewis a crust of one of the breads. The puppy wagging his tail as he sat on his bed proper, a leash keeping him in place for right now as he was still learning.

Hsarr stepped inside with a slightly nervous manor that was typical of them, when visiting others’ quarters. They spotted Hanna and gave her a warm smile, waving. “Hello!” Hsarr chirped cheerfully, calico coat combed neatly, shining slightly in the light. Alliteration, fuck yeah!

She got up from the chair to greet them, holding out a hand cheerfully, “Hsarr. Thank you for coming. Can I pour you a drink?”

Hsarr visibly relaxed at the cheerful nature of their friend. They nodded, moving closer to the Commander. “Of course! I prefer tea, please,” They said, tail curling behind them.

She smiled as she poured a cup of organic jasmine tea for Hsarr, placing the cup before them along with various additions within reach, should they desire. Pouring herself a small cup of coffee, topping with some cream. “How has your day been so far?”

Hsarr took the cup with a small smile, using a spoon to add two cubes of sugar, then stirred slowly. “Pretty average, honesty. No freak accidents yet, which is good,” They replied brightly, taking a seat and crossing their legs.

She took a sip of her coffee before settling back in her own chair, “That’s really good. Did you participate in the last mission? I didn’t have enough time to see who was on each away team.”

“No, I stayed behind. I’m happy for all the people who got commendations, though! It was honestly deserved, especially Ensign Bright,” They said, blowing into their drink after fully mixing the sugar.

Smiling warmly as she leaned forward, tucking one leg under her other to be more relaxed and comfortable, “Oh? And who is Ensign Bright?”

“I haven’t actually met him, but from what I’ve heard from the rest of the senior staff, he was awarded for conspicuous heroism. I believe he bit a man and shouted that he had rabies,” Hsarr said with an amused smile, taking a slow sip of their tea.

She blinked as she slowly repeated what he said in disbelief, “He… bit someone…. And claimed to have a transmittable disease?” She blinked a few more times before sighing, “Please tell me they aren’t tactical?”

Hsarr burst out laughing at Hanna’s response, little crow’s feet appearing around their eyes. “He did, yes. He’s in science, not tactical,” They told her, shaking their head, thoroughly amused by this.

Taking a breath before having another sip of coffee, “Good. Cause I can’t imagine the amount of paperwork that individual would cause on the daily…. I’d probably need at least a pot of coffee before dealing with them directly if they’re pulling stunts like that.” A small grin on the corner of her mouth as she looked to the lieutenant.
